COOKIES

What are cookies and why are they used?

A cookie is a piece of data that a website can send to your browser, which is stored on your computer as a tag that identifies it. While they are typically used to measure website usage (such as number of visitors and length of visit), efficiency (such as topics of greatest interest) and to make it easier to use and navigate, and are therefore not associated with personal information, cookies are sometimes used to personalize the experience of repeat visitors to a website by associating them with user preferences or personal information. Over time, this data provides useful information to improve the user experience.

Cookies are generally classified as either “session” cookies or “persistent” cookies. Session cookies allow you to navigate a website efficiently by keeping track of your progression from page to page so you do not need to repeat the information you provided during your current visit or information needed to complete a transaction. Session cookies are stored in temporary memory and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, store your preferences for your current and future visits. Persistent cookies are stored on your hard drive and remain available when you restart your browser. For example, Holly Tour uses persistent cookies to record your preferred country and language.

How to express privacy preferences regarding the use of cookies

When browsing our website, you can set your preferences regarding cookies and other similar technologies using the options and tools made available by your web browser or by Holly Tour. Holly Tour has applied a cookie management program, which will be displayed on your first visit to our website. By clicking on the cookie preferences banner on the hollytour.it website, you can choose and change at any time which types of cookies you want our website to use. You can indicate your preference for mandatory, mandatory and functional cookies or mandatory, functional and personalization cookies. Below you can also find additional information on the types of cookies used. Setting your cookie preferences will not delete cookies already set on your device. You can delete these cookies using the settings on your web browser.

Although the website hollytour.it does not currently recognize browsers’ automated tracking mechanisms, such as “do not track” instructions, you can still express your general privacy preferences regarding the use of many cookies and similar technologies through your web browser. For more information about controlling cookies, see the “Tools” (or similar) section of your browser. In most cases, you can set your browser to notify you before you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. You can also disable cookies altogether. Because cookies allow you to take advantage of some of the website’s features, we recommend that you do not disable them. If you block, disable or do not accept cookies, some web pages may not display correctly.

Web beacons or other technologies

The hollytour.it website also uses web beacons or other technologies to better personalize the site and provide better customer service. These technologies are used on various pages of the hollytour.it website. When a visitor accesses these pages, a non-identifiable notification of this visit is generated and can be processed by Holly Tour or our suppliers. These web beacons are generally used together with cookies. If you do not want cookie information to be associated with visits to these pages or use of products, you can disable cookies from your browser or directly from the product. If you disable cookies, web beacons and other technologies will still detect visits to these pages but will not be associated with the information stored in cookies.

Hollytour.it uses Local Shared Objects, such as Flash cookies, and Local Storage, such as HTML5, to store preferences and content information. Third parties with whom Holly Tour collaborates to provide certain features on the Hollytour.it website also use Flash or HTML5 cookies to collect and store information. Various browsers offer internal management tools to remove HTML5. To manage Flash cookies, visit http://www.macromedia.com/

Holly Tour may also decide to include web beacons in marketing email messages or newsletters to determine whether messages have been opened and links included have been visited.

Some Holly Tour business partners place their own web beacons and cookies on our site. In addition, certain third-party social networking buttons may record certain information, such as your IP address, browser type and language, access times, and referring website addresses, and if you have registered, the information collected may be sent to your social networking site profile. Holly Tour has no control over third-party tracking technologies.
